The regular meeting of the Town Board of Burnhamville Township was held August 28, 2018 at the Burtrum Community Center. The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Chair Mike Berscheit. Members present include Supervisors: Mike Berscheit, Bruce Johnson and Joe Muellner; Clerk Shirley Hulinsky; Treasurer Pam Throener. Erv Herdering was also present.
The minutes from the regular meeting of July 31, 2018 were approved as presented on a motion by Sup. Berscheit. Motion was seconded by Sup. Muellner. Motion passed.
For correspondence the township board members received letters about Planning and Zoning, leadership training conference and campaign for District 8 delegate.
Supervisor heard from a land owner that wanted to trim trees on Dutchman Drive, board was okay with land owner doing own work.
A supervisor also heard of a sign damaged on Essex Trail that he will replace.
A motion was made by Sup. Berscheit to pay all bills numbered 5622 through 5637: Rev. $1,385.11; R & B $33,675.22. Sup. Johnson seconded the motion. Motion passed.
The primary election on August 14 had 99 voters cast ballots at the township.
The tree trimming along Morrison Line Road was done.
In the road report the contractor has done a lot of gravel hauling on township roads and will start the 210th project tomorrow. The culverts on 168th street were replaced. The ditch by Lady Lake will be worked on next.
Treasurer’s report showed a balance of $134,396.95. Treasurer’s report was approved by Sup. Berscheit and seconded by Sup. Muellner. Motion passed.
Swanville Rural Fire Association meeting is tonight and representatives will go after our township board meeting.
A motion was made by Sup. Berscheit to adjourn the meeting which was seconded by Sup. Johnson. Motion passed. Meeting was adjourned at 7:30 p.m. Next regular meeting will be on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at 7 p.m. in the Burtrum Community Center.
