Crews reconstruct westbound through October
ST. CLOUD, Minn. – Those who travel on Interstate 94 between Highway 25 in Monticello and Wright County Road 8 in Hasty will start to see some changes June 7, as both westbound lanes shift to the eastbound side of I-94. The lane shifts will take several days to complete and will be in place through October, as crews reconstruct and expand westbound I-94 to three lanes.
I-94 will remain open to two lanes in both directions through the work zone. However, allow for some extra time to your commute. Expect reduced speeds, lane shifts, narrow shoulders and lane widths reduced to 11 feet.
Motorists will continue to encounter overnight single lane closures on both directions of I-94 between Wright County Road 8 in Hasty and Highway 24 in Clearwater through October.
MnDOT urges travelers to slow down, be alert and watch the road when navigating through the entire I-94 Maple Grove to Clearwater work zone. For more information about this project, log onto www.mndot.gov/i94-mg-clearwater.
