The mass of Christian Burial, celebrating the life of Marie “Ann” Roering, age 72 of Holdingford, was held Tuesday, December 11 at the Church of All Saints- St. Mary in Holdingford. Burial was in the parish cemetery. Ann died Friday, surrounded by her loving family, at the St. Cloud Hospital from complications of pneumonia.
Ann was born January 4, 1946 in St. Cloud to Elmer and Johanna Marie (Athen) Aronson. She grew up in Rockville and married Kenneth Roering on July 30, 1966 in St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Holdingford. The couple lived in St. Joseph for a short time and then moved to Holdingford where Ann lived the rest of her life. She was a homemaker and raised her 10 children. She enjoyed playing 500, bean bag, going to the casino, watching birds – especially eagles, fishing and spending time with her family. Ann was a loving and caring person who will be missed by all. She was a member of the Church of All Saints-St. Mary and the St. Mary’s Christian Women.
Ann is survived by her children; Joan (Clint) Nelson, Henderson, TX; John Roering, Albany; Cindy (Wayne) Norberg, Royalton; Eugene Roering, Holdingford; Jim Roering, North Prairie; Jenny (Jason) Zwilling, Sauk Rapids; Judy (Robby) Schiffler, Albany; Josh Roering, Bowlus and Becky (Jeremiah) Smith, Albany. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Kenny in 2011; daughter, Lisa Gerads; brothers, Elmer Aronson, Albert Aronson, Harold Aronson and sister, Alvina Sandquist.
