Pauline Casey was born June 19, 1933, in Long Prairie, MN to Frederick and Loretta (Thom) Werner. Pauline lived in Long Prairie most of her life. She left home at the age of 13 to help care for her 13 siblings by working at Head of the Lakes in Osakis, where she would meet her husband of 60 years, Roy C. Casey. She worked various jobs after Head of the Lakes, but most of her time and energy were spent caring for her children and grandchildren. Pauline was a dedicated mother first and foremost, she treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. She had a flare for baking, gardening, and sewing personalized outfits and dolls for her family and friends. She enjoyed camping which included lots of traveling, fishing and bluegrass music.
She is survived by her five children: Tom Casey (Deb) of Long Prairie, MN, Sandra Casey of Port Charlotte, FL, Jerry Casey (Beth) of Long Prairie, MN, Susan Henry (Pat) of Sauk Centre, MN, and Sharon Iverson of Cape Coral, FL., 10 siblings, 10 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She touched the lives of many and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her husband Roy C. Casey, brothers Bobby, Ronnie and Jim Werner, and her parents Frederick and Loretta Werner.
