On April 2, 2021 at approximately 9:07 pm, the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office Communications Center received a report of a single vehicle crash at 33928 County Road 10 in Albany Township. The caller reported a vehicle in the ditch against a tree occupied by one male.
Deputies arrived on scene and spoke with the lone occupant and driver of the truck, Brian Scott, 42, of Albany. Scott was very confused as to his whereabouts and it appeared he had suffered from a medical issue. He was transported to the hospital by Melrose Ambulance.
Scott was driving south on County Road 10 when he entered the east ditch and struck a tree with the driver’s side front quarter panel of the truck. The truck then continued in the ditch, went over a driveway and drove for another 15 yards before coming to a rest against a tree.
The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Albany Fire and Rescue and Melrose Ambulance.
