Burnhamville Township • July 27, 2021

The regular meeting of the Town Board of Burnhamville was held July 27, 2021 at the Burtrum Community Center. The meeting was called to order at 7:04 p.m. by Chair Mike Berscheit. Members present include Supervisors: Bruce Johnson, Mike Berscheit; Clerk Shirley Hulinsky; Treasurer Pam Throener. Sup. Muellner was absent. Erv Herdering was also present.
The minutes from the regular meeting of June 29, 2021 were approved as presented on a motion by Sup. Johnson and was seconded by Sup. Berscheit. Motion passed.
For correspondence the township received letters from City of Long Prairie concerning an unpaid fire bill. Upon discussion, the clerk will find out more information before paying this fire call.
A motion was made by Sup. Berscheit to pay all bills numbered 6125 through 6134: Rev. $853.47; R& B $6,549.67. Sup. Johnson seconded the motion. Motion passed.
In the road report the contractor had to respray some roads for dust control. Flicker Road may need more gravel to make dust control work better; for now he bladed road to loosen up gravel to work better. Dry weather is an issue with the roads. He will continue on the road inspection list.
Weed inspections around the township are looking pretty good.
Treasurer’s report showed a balance of $85,261.30. Sup. Berscheit motioned to approve and Sup. Johnson seconded motion. Motion passed.
A motion was made by Sup. Berscheit to adjourn the meeting which was seconded by Sup. Johnson. Motion passed. Meeting was adjourned at 7:30 p.m. Next regular meeting will be on Tuesday, August 30 at 7 p.m. in the Burtrum Community Center. The Swanville Rural Fire Association meeting should be held Tuesday, August 24, 2021.
