Delphine M. Kostreba, age 97 of Sauk Centre, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Tuesday, September 22, 2026 at the Cura Care Center in Sauk Centre, Minnesota.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 26 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Sauk Centre with Rev. Mark Botzet officiating. Interment will be held in the parish cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10 to 10:45 a.m. Saturday at the church.
Delphine Mary Karasch was born December 15, 1928 in Opole, Minnesota to John and Frances (Kociemba) Karasch. She was united in marriage to Theodore “Ted” Kostreba on August 7, 1946 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Opole, Minnesota. Delphine was a part-time bartender and worked as a cook at the Sauk Centre High School. She was a member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Sauk Centre and the Christian Women. Delphine enjoyed her visits from her family and friends and loved flowers.
Survivors include her children, Carol (Bob) Blattenbauer of Moorhead, David (Sue Stracek) Kostreba of Sauk Centre, Wayne (Janet) Kostreba of Sauk Centre, and Jim (Judy) Kostreba of Sauk Centre; ten grandchildren and many great-grandchildren; brother, Ray Karasch of Sauk Centre; and step-sisters, Irene, Alice, and Virginia.
Delphine was preceded in death by her husband, Ted Kostreba on September 23, 1996; parents; son, Ron Kostreba in 2025; daugther-in-law, Cheryl Kostreba in 2026; brothers, Al, Melvin, Daniel, and Val; sisters, Regina and Evelyn; and granddaughter, Jasmine Kostreba.
Memorials can be made to Senior Alternative Care and Cura Care Center of Sauk Centre.
Arrangements were made with Patton-Schad Funeral and Cremation Services of Sauk Centre.
