Gerald J. “Jerry” Beuning, age 78 of Sauk Centre, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 26, 2021 at his home in Sauk Centre, Minnesota.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, January 3 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Sauk Centre. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday, January 2 at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Sauk Centre and from 9 to 10 a.m. Monday at the church.
Gerald Joseph Beuning was born October 4, 1943 in Melrose, Minnesota to Ralph and Catherine (Klasen) Beuning. He attended grade school Holy Family School in Sauk Centre and graduated from Sauk Centre High School in 1961. Jerry furthered his education and graduated from North Dakota State College of Science. He was united in marriage to Kaye Costello on November 25, 1967 at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church in Sauk Centre. Jerry owned and managed Beuning Agricultural Service in Sauk Centre and retired in 2003.
He was a lifelong resident of Sauk Centre, member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church, Lions Club, American Legion Post 67, Sauk Centre Fire Department, and the Knights of Columbus. Jerry enjoyed flying, fishing and hunting, woodworking, house remodeling, traveling, watching baseball, and socializing with a couple Coors Lights.
Survivors include his loving wife of 54 years, Kaye Beuning of Sauk Centre; son, Brian (Ginger) Beuning; grandson, Max Beuning; brother, Roger (Susan) Beuning of Sauk Centre; and sister, Sue Hornick of Sauk Centre.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; and a stillborn daughter in 1979.
Memorials are preferred.
