Call to Order: Mike Rohe called the meeting to order at 8:00 pm. The pledge of allegiance was recited.
Present Board: Mike Rohe, John Young and Christine Gagne. Also Present: Erv Herdering.
Agenda Approval: Mike presented a preliminary agenda and asked for additions or corrections. John moved to approve the agenda, seconded by Mike. Mike called for a vote. Motion carried unanimously.
Approval of Minutes: Mike presented the minutes from September meeting and asked if any corrections. John moved to approve Sept. 14th meeting minutes, seconded by Mike. Mike called for a vote. Motion carried unanimously.
Public Comments: Mike asked for public comments. NONE
Treasurer’s Report: Christine reported for the month of September 2026:
-Beginning balance: $19,445.27
-Receipts: $22,689.01
-Total Disbursed: $41,980.76
-Ending Balance: $153.52
-Total Investment Balance: $68,749.79
-Total Indebtedness Balance: $249,360.99
John moved to accept the Treasurer’s Report-Cash Control Statement, seconded by Mike. Mike called for a vote. Motion carried unanimously.
Town Clerk Report: Christine presented the claims totaling $8,201.90. John moved to approve the claims, seconded by Mike. Mike called for a vote. Motion carried unanimously.
John made a motion to approve the transfer $2,000.00 from the Money Market Account, Road and Bridge Fund to the General Account to cover claims, seconded by Mike. Mike called for a vote. Motion carried unanimously.
John made a motion to transfer an additional $15,000.00 from the Money Market Account, Road and Bridge Fund to the General Account to cover claims, seconded by Mike. Mike called for a vote. Motion carried unanimously.
Correspondence (mail and emails) were reviewed.
Road and Bridge Report: Erv and board discussed the need for culverts that should be completed before first freeze if possible.
Discussion regarding the Clerk/Treasurer position: The Board discussed a matter concerning the Clerk/Treasurer position for which further review and research is necessary. The Board determined that additional information and clarification regarding applicable procedures and requirements should be obtained before any further action is taken.
Mike made a motion to begin identifying and obtaining temporary administrative support for the Township, including a Temporary Deputy Clerk Assistant, as needed. John seconded the motion. Mike called for a vote. Motion carried unanimously.
Adjournment: Mike moved to adjourn, seconded by John, Mike called for a vote. Motion carried.
