Harvey H. Doetkott, age 92 of Grey Eagle, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on Friday, October 2, 2026 at the St. Cloud Hospital in St. Cloud, Minnesota.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 17 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Grey Eagle with Rev. Ron Dockendorf officiating. Entombment will be held in the parish cemetery with military honors by the Melrose Veterans Honor Guard.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Satuday at the church.
Harvey Henry Doetkott was born October 17, 1933 in New Munich, Minnesota to John and Helen (Rieland) Doetkott. He served in the U.S. Air Force at age 16 and was honorably discharged on September 24, 1953. He was united in marriage to Yvonne Middendorf on February 11, 1956 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Freeport. Harvey worked as a foreman at Land O’Lakes in the butter division and later ran the research and development area as plant manager. The couple lived in Minneapolis during these years and upon Harvey’s retirement, the couple moved to Grey Eagle.
He was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Grey Eagle. Harvey enjoyed everything outdoors including hunting, fishing, biking, and cross-country skiing. He loved traveling with Yvonne, especially to Europe these past few years.
Survivors include his loving wife of 70 years, Yvonne Doetkott; children, Jay (Martha) and Kay (Darren); grandchildren, John (Maggie), Robby, Chris, and Derek (Alyssa); great-granddaughter, Emma; brothers and sisters, Lorraine, Dennis (Marlene), Roger (Marti) and Doris.
Harvey was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Allen, Jack, and Gary; sister, Sharon; and his favorite dog, King.
Arrangements were made with Patton-Schad Funeral and Cremation Services of Grey Eagle.
