Rosemary Breitbach, age 98 of Brainerd, formerly of Elrosa, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, August 30, 2026 at Edgewood Vista Assisted Living in Brainerd, Minnesota.
A prayer service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, September 10 at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Sauk Centre with Rev. Mark Botzet officiating. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery in Sauk Centre.
Visitation will be from 1:30 to 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Rosemary “Honey” Sieben was born June 26, 1928, in Elrosa, Minnesota, where she was also raised, to Anthony and Katherine (Verkennis) Sieben. She was united in a full military wedding to Corporal Harold Breitbach on June 7, 1948, at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Elrosa, Minnesota. Rosemary was a devoted wife and mother who loved cooking, sewing, and was an excellent artist and painter of portraits.
Survivors include her sons, David Breitbach, Alan Breitbach, and Peter Breitbach, all of Brainerd; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Rosemary was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Breitbach on December 23, 1976; parents, Anthony Sieben, Katherine and Barnard Diedrich; son, Timothy Breitbach; daughter, Leesa Geary; and sisters, Iline Hart and Donna Gallion.
Arrangements were made with Patton-Schad Funeral & Cremation Services of Sauk Centre.
