Swanville High School Athletes of the Month
Swanville High School is pleased to announce its October Athletes of the Month: Ashley Maciej for volleyball and Jordan Sales for football.
“Ashley Maciej has been named Swanville High School’s Volleyball Athlete of the Month for October. She is a senior and captain on the Bulldog volleyball team this year. Ashley is a hard working individual during practice and a strong leader on the court. Ashley is our starting Libero and has seen front row play as well. As a Libero for our Bulldog varsity volleyball team, she has accumulated 241 digs, 20 kills from the back row, and has an 86% serve receive on the year. Ashley is a very strong attribute to our team. She is able to serve, hit, and is willing to play any position along the nest as well as any position in the back row. She has a strong energy about her too when she is out on the court. We have had great chemistry on the court this season and a lot of it starts with her. Ashley is a great role model and has a wonderful attitude.” – Coach Kerie Thoma
“Jordan Sales is the USA Football Athlete of the Month for October. Jordan finished the season with a terrific flurry for the Patriots. Jordan is a two-way player for the Patriots, and also does the punting for the team. Jordan caught 23 passes for 549 yards (23.9 yd/avg) and 6 TD’s during the October stretch in addition to the play-offs. He also collected 20 solo tackles, 8 assisted tackles and 4.5 sacks defensively for USA. Jordan is a junior this year, so we are looking forward to next year’s opportunities and his leadership.
