2012 Todd County Fair 4-H news

Judging of the 4-H General Livestock Show was held on Friday afternoon, July 27, at the Todd County Fairgrounds. Judging the quality 4-H sheep, swine and beef was Brian Schermerhorn of New York Mills.
Swine Showmanship honors went to: Grades 9-13: Champion, Alex Hulinsky, Burtrum Boosters. Alex Hulinsky, Burtrum Boosters/Highland, was selected to represent Todd County at the State Fair with his Market Gilt.
Dylan Hollermann, Burtrum Boosters/Highland exhibited the Champion 4-H Dairy Steer at the 2012 Todd County Fair, and Megan Hollermann, Burtrum Boosters/Highland, was the recipient of the Reserve Champion 4-H Dairy Steer ribbon.
Beef Showmanship honors went to: Reserve Champion, Megan Hollermann, Burtrum Boosters/Highland
The Dairy Steer selected to represent Todd County at the State Fair was exhibited by Dylan Hollermann, Burtrum Boosters/Highland.
4-H Dairy Show
Brown Swiss: Champion, Alexander Hulinsky, Burtrum Boosters/Highland; Jersey: Reserve Champion, Nathan Hulinsky, Burtrum Boosters/Highland.
Dairy Showmanship awards were presented to: Grades 3-5: Reserve Champion, Olivia Hollermann, Burtrum Boosters/Highland; Grades 6-8: Reserve Champion, Megan Hollermann, Burtrum Boosters/Highland.
Eric Sonnek of Foreston judged the 2012 Todd County 4-H Dairy Show. Judge Sonnek selected the following local 4-H’ers to represent Todd County at the Minnesota State Fair: Megan Hollermann, Burtrum Boosters/Highland; Alex Hulinsky, Burtrum Boosters/Highland; Nathan Hulinsky, Burtrum Boosters/Highland.
4-H Dog Show
In the Open Showmanship Class Megan Hollermann, Burtrum Boosters/Highland, received a champion ribbon. In the Novice Showmanship Class Erica Hollermann, Burtrum Boosters/Highland received the Reserve Champion ribbon.
4-H’ers who received blue ribbons at the County 4-H Dog Show and have completed the fourth grade are now eligible to show at the State 4-H Dog Show in September. Local 4-H’ers qualifying for the State Show are: Megan Hollermann, Burtrum Boosters/Highland and Erica Hollermann, Burtrum Boosters/Highland.
4-H Poultry Show
On Thursday evening, July 26, Judge Larry Hoff of Akeley judged the 4-H Poultry Show at the Todd County Fair.
Poultry Showmanship Ribbons were awarded to Champion Poultry Showman, Grades 9-13: Nathan Hulinsky, Burtrum Boosters/Highland.
