Adaline Jones

Adaline Jones, 91, of Long Prairie, passed away on March 2, 2016. Memorial services for Adaline will be held on Wednesday, March 23, 2:00 p.m., at the Peace United Church in Long Prairie with Pastor Gary Taylor officiating. Friends may begin calling at the church one hour prior to the service. Interment will be held at the Minnesota State Veteran’s Cemetery in Little Falls.
Adaline was born March 27, 1924, in Anamoose, N.D. to Philip and Anna (Erman) Schmidt. She grew up in Anamoose and Grey Eagle. Adaline married Donovan W. Jones on June 16, 1946 in Long Prairie. She worked at Custer Floral, The Variety Store and Dr. G. Kintop for several years. After her daughter Grace was born, Adaline spent her time being a mother and homemaker. Adaline enjoyed gardening and crafts. She was a member of the United Church of Christ.
Adaline is preceded in death by her parents; husband Donovan, brothers: Sam Bettcher, Ernest Schmidt and Nathan Schmidt; sister, Hulda Fix and infant sister Esther.
Adaline is survived by her daughter Grace of Long Prairie; sister, Agnes Docken of Minneapolis and brother, Sidney (Darleen) Schmidt of Abilene, TX.
