Alice Rothstein

Alice Rothstein, age 90, died in her home on Thursday, July 9, 2015.
Mass of Christian Burial was held Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at the St. Martin Catholic Church, St. Martin, MN.
Alice was born in St. Martin Township on July 10, 1924 to Mary (Doll) and Joseph Olmschenk. She married Mark Rothstein on August 26th, 1946. Alice enjoyed her time with family, relishing her role as a mom, a grandma and a great grandma. She was an active member of AA for 40 years, an enthusiastic card player, and maintained a loving home – welcoming all visitors. She was an avid quilter, sewer, crafter, gardener, and painter. She also enjoyed creatively decorating her home for the seasons and holidays.
Alice is survived by her children, Betty (LeRoy) Spoden of Eugene, OR; Dan (Pam) Rothstein of Waite Park; Gary (Ruth) Rothstein of St. Martin; Paul (Donna) Rothstein of St. Martin; Cindy (Gary) Grolla of Prior Lake; Tamma (Terry Fitz) Cashman of St. Paul; 20 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Mark, and daughter, Beatrice; sister, Eleanor Wilhelm; 4 brothers, Herbert, Charles, Ernest and Leo Olmschenk.
