Allen Hinnenkamp

Allen Hinnenkamp, 67, of Long Prairie, MN passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his staff listening to country music on January 24, 2020. Funeral services for Allen was held Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Long Prairie with Fr. Omar Guanchez officiating. Burial was at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Long Prairie.
Allen Ernest Hinnenkamp was born on September 8th, 1952 in Sauk Centre, to Frederick and Bernadine (Jacobs) Hinnenkamp.
In 1988, Allen moved into residential housing through Meridian Services Inc. in Long Prairie, MN. Allen worked through the Todd County DAC for many years.
Allen enjoyed car rides, country music and being a jokester with all the staff. He enjoyed his lite bright and would put a puzzle together faster than anyone. Allen enjoyed snack times and loved his coffee, root beer and his daily cup of chocolate milk. Allen had a presence that attracted everyone. He showed his affection to the staff by giving nose bumps (and lots of them). Allen will be deeply missed by all staff that cared for him over the years.
Allen is preceded in death by his parents Frederick and Bernadine Hinnenkamp, sister Joan Hetland, and brother Frank Hinnenkamp.
