Alois Anthony Gallus

Alois Anthony Gallus, 97 of Little Falls formerly of Bowlus passed away on November 11, 2019 at St Otto’s. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday November 18, 2019 at St Stanislaus Catholic Church in Bowlus, Minnesota at 10:00 A.M with Father Greg Mastey officiating. Visitation will be one hour before service at the church. Burial will be in the Parish cemetery. The military rites will be provided by the Bowlus American Legion.
Alois was born June 5, 1922 to Frank and Bertha (Mucha) Gallus in Swan River Township, Minnesota. He attended District 8 School. He served in the US Navy from 1942-1943. Alois worked on the Gallus home farm until April 1959. After that he moved to Little Falls and worked at Tri-City from 1959-1960, Todd County as a DHIA from 1960-1967, Our Lady of Lourdes as a custodian from 1967-1971, St. Otto’s as a custodian from 1971-1975, Our Lady of Lourdes as a custodian from 1979-1984 and St. Scholastica Convent as a custodian from 1979-1984. In 1984 Al moved to Bowlus and worked at St. Stanislaus Church until 2003. Al was an AA member since 1953. He was a Charter member of the Bowlus American Legion and Knights of Columbus St. Gregory Council #12604. He served on the Bowlus Village Council for 8 years. Alois loved cheering on the Minnesota Twins.
Alois is survived by his nieces, nephews; great nieces and great nephews and his St. Otto’s Family
Alois was preceded in death by parents, Frank and Bertha; sisters, Francis (Joseph) Schwientek, Mary (Phillip) Walek, Sister, Mary Gemma, OSF, Helen (Ed) Hagamen, Brothers, Peter (Angeline) Gallus, George (Julia) Gallus, William (Lucille) Gallus, Frank (Delores) Gallus, John (Louise) Gallus, Joseph (Helen) Gallus.
Memorials are preferred to St. Stanislaus Kotska Church in Bowlus, MN.
