Alphonse Joseph Kunstleben, age 72, Rockville, MN, died Thursday, May 12, 2016 at the Veterans Administration Medical Center, St. Cloud, MN.
Mass of Christian Burial was held Monday, May 16, 2016 at 10:30 AM at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, St. Anna, MN. Fr. Gregory Mastey officiated. Burial with full military honors was held in Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery, St Anna, MN. Funeral arrangements by Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN.
Alphonse was born March 2, 1944 in St. Martin Township, Stearns County, MN to Frank and Alma M. (Van Hoorik) Kunstleben. He farmed all of his life, retiring in 2009. Alphonse was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and Albany American Legion Post #482.
Survivors include brothers and sisters, Marcus “Mark” (Geraldine) Kunstleben of Avon, MN; Richard Kunstleben of Albany, MN; Lorraine (Arnold) Heinen of Albany, MN; Bernice (Gerald) Hartung of Freeport, MN; Robert Kunstleben of Holdingford, MN; Mary Jane (Nick) Zeimetz of Albany, MN; John (Lois Thielen) Kunstleben of Grey Eagle, MN; and sister-in-law, Bernice Kunstleben of Albany, MN.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Alvin and Ronald, infant sister, Elizabeth, and sister-in-law, Darlene.
