A Memorial Mass was held on Saturday, July 28, 2012 at St. Benedict’s Catholic Church in Avon, for Angeline A. Buettner, age 79, of Avon, who died on Tuesday, July 24 2010, at Talahi Care Center in St. Cloud. Rev. Blane Wasnie, OSB officiated.
Angeline Buettner was born April 11, 1933 in Opole, Minnesota the daughter of John and Dorothy (Ziemba) Gallus. She was united in marriage with Leander Buettner on June 20, 1950 in Opole, Minnesota. Angeline and Leander owned and operated Buettner’s Mobil Service in Avon from 1961 until 2005. She was a member of St. Benedict’s Catholic Church and the St. Benedict’s Christian Mothers. In her free time, Angeline enjoyed baking, cooking, reading, word finds, embroidery, quilting and washing clothes on her wringer washing machine. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, babies and babysitting.
Angeline is survived by her children, Mark Buettner of Foley, Barbara (Tony) Betz of Monticello, Louise (Chris) Erickson of Avon, Robert Buettner of Wheatland, WY, John Buettner of Alexandria, Karen Price of Casper, WY, Myron (Michelle) Buettner of Foley, Anthony Buettner of Fort Laramie, WY and Charles (Andrea) Buettner of Ramsey; 18 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; siblings, Ludvina O’Brian of Waite Park, John (Joann) Gallus of St. Cloud, Eleanor (Don) Wrobel of Zimmerman, Diane Sellers of Panama City, FL, Eugene (Dianna) Gallus of St. Cloud, Delphine (Pat) Fenalson of Anchorage, AK, Carol (Jim) Krystosek of Albertville, MN, James (Debbie) Gallus of St. Joseph, Patricia (Ron) Mears of Katy, TX, Timothy (Denise) Gallus of St. Stephen, and Mary Marsolek of Albany.
Angeline was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leander on June 17, 2011; son, Kenneth Buettner; and sister, Theresa Stevens.
