Arnold “Arnie” H. Koehn

Arnold “Arnie” H. Koehn of Camano Island, WA, formerly of Holdingford, passed away at home on Friday, January 10, 2014 after a long battle with emphysema.
Arnie was born February 10, 1941 to Waldemar and Verna Koehn in Albany, Minnesota, on the family farm. Arnie enlisted in the US Navy and proudly served his country from 1960-64. He met and married Leslie Anderson of Everett in 1964. Arnie was hired on at Scott Paper Company in November of 1964, which later became Kimberly Clark. He retired after 43 years of faithful service. He was a hardworking, gentle man who will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him. He loved his family very much and his dogs Mandi and Biscuit and He loved God!
Arnie was preceded in death by his infant son, Kenneth James Koehn and his parents.
Arnie is survived by his wife of 49 ½ years, Leslie; and his four daughters, Kandra (Don) Robinson of Puyallup, WA; Kristina (Jeff) Latham of Sumas, WA; Kathy (David) Melanco of Bonney Lake, WA; Kimberly (Tim) Dailey of Marysville, WA; 14 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He also leaves behind his siblings from Minnesota: Rich (Diane) Koehn; Roger (Ardell) Koehn; Duane (Diane) Koehn; Patsy (Tom) Davison, Jane Gardner, and his best friends, Mel and Dee Griffith of Idaho.
Services were held at 1 p.m. on Friday, January 17, 2014 at Purdy & Walters with Cassidy Funeral Home with a reception following at Camano Chapel, Camano Island, WA. Pastor Kris Kramer officiated.
