Barbara F. “Barb” Johnson, age 85 of Grey Eagle passed away on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at the Highland Senior Living in Little Falls, Minnesota.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 6 at the Patton-Schad Funeral Home in Grey Eagle with Rev. Kevin Zeller officiating. Interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Grey Eagle.
Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Barbara Fay Ainali was born January 3, 1937 in Millwood Township, Stearns County, Minnesota to George and Ruth (Murphy) Ainali. She was united in marriage to Vernard Johnson on May 17, 1953 at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Grey Eagle. Barb helped with catering and worked at the school cafeteria and the Senior Center in Minneapolis. She enjoyed crocheting, flower gardening, and taking many car trips with her husband seeing the countryside.
Barb had no children, but was a wonderful, loving aunt to her many nieces and nephews and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernard Johnson; parents; and siblings, John Ainali, Arlene Hiltunen, Elaine Hartsworm, and Louise Hagstrom.
