On July 19, 2020 at 9:18 a.m., Stearns County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to 47118 County Road 192 in Raymond Township for a one vehicle crash.
Evan Messer, 19, of Sauk Centre, was driving a 1986 Kenworth grain truck for Vogt Dairy. Mr. Messer was traveling eastbound on County Road 192 when the front left tire blew out. He tried to maneuver the truck, but he was unable to keep it on the roadway. The truck crossed the center line and went into the north ditch.
The truck damaged the culvert when it went over the driveway approach and it continued until it hit several pine trees.
Mr. Messer was wearing his seat belt. He sustained minor injuries and was brought to the Sauk Centre Hospital by a private party.
A mechanical check of the truck was done prior to Mr. Messer driving it and no issues were found. The truck was totaled.
