On February 11, 2022, at approximately 10:04 AM, the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call reporting a building fire at Ted’s RV Land on Highway 55 South of Paynesville. The fire was located in a large storage building located on the property. The building was described as a cold storage facility that held two trucks, a boat, and an RV, as well as other miscellaneous supplies. The fire was quickly extinguished by local fire departments. There was substantial damage to one of the vehicles inside the building as well as some furniture and supplies. The building and other items inside sustained smoke damage.
The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office and Paynesville Fire Department responded along with assistance from Eden Valley Fire, Lake Henry Fire, New London Fire, and Paynesville Ambulance. There were no injuries reported. The cause of the fire is unknown and remains under investigation.
