Burnhamville Township • June 28, 2016

These are unapproved minutes.
The regular meeting of the Town Board of Burnhamville Township was held June 28, 2016 at the Burtrum Community Center. The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Chairman Mike Berscheit. Members present include Supervisors: Mike Berscheit, Louis Thompson and Bruce Johnson; Clerk Shirley Hulinsky; Treasurer Pam Throener. Others present: Erv Herdering and Brad and Becky Dawson.
The minutes from the regular meeting of May 31, 2016 were approved as presented on a motion by Sup. Johnson. Motion was seconded by Sup. Thompson. Motion passed.
For correspondence the township received letters from the county about bridge inspection report, U.S. census and a tree service.
A motion was made by Sup. Berscheit to pay all bills numbered 5275 through 5286: Rev. $961.88; R & B $13,162.23. Sup. Thompson seconded the motion. Motion passed.
A resident commented that the culvert on the north end of 321st Ave is working right.
The township reviewed three ditch mowing bids. Sup. Berscheit made a motion to approve the bid from DK Tree Service for ditch mowing. Sup. Johnson seconded the motion. Motion passed. More information will be requested for the brush cutting bid.
In the road report the contractor is almost done with dust control intersections. A request was made to fix intersection of Co. 104 & 331st Ave then finish dust control. Contractor will keep working on road inspection list.
The clerk provided a list of Election Judges. Sup. Berscheit approved and Sup. Thompson seconded the following for primary and general Election Judges: Shirley Hulinsky Head Judge; Pam Throener, Sharon, Muellner, Terri Holmgren, Mike Holmgren, Bonnie Alsleben, Brenda Schwanke, Chuck Macy. Motion passed.
The supervisors are doing weed inspections and most areas are good.
Todd County Public Works will have a public hearing on Tuesday July 19, 2016 at 7 p.m. in Burtrum to explain the Pillsbury Bridge replacement.
Treasurer’s report showed a balance of $78,621.43. Treasurer’s report was approved by Sup. Berscheit and seconded by Sup. Johnson. Motion passed.
A motion was made by Sup. Berscheit to adjourn the meeting which was seconded by Sup. Johnson. Motion passed. Meeting was adjourned at 7:47 p.m. Next regular meeting will be on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at 7 p.m. in the Burtrum Community Center with the bridge hearing on Tuesday, July 19 at 7 p.m.
