The regular meeting of the Town Board of Burnhamville Township was held May 27, 2014 at Burtrum Community Center. The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Chair Mike Berscheit. Members present include Supervisors: Louis Thompson, Mike Berscheit and Bruce Johnson; Clerk Shirley Hulinsky; Treasurer Pam Throener. Others present: Ervin Muellner and Ervin Herdering.
Sup. Thompson made a motion to approve the minutes from the regular meeting of April 29, 2014. Motion was seconded by Sup. Johnson. Motion passed.
Correspondence included letters from planning and zoning, election judge training, and the bank concerning security change. Also township received notices from township association about summer training and that a form was never received.
Sup. Johnson made a motion to approve the contract for ditch mowing and brush cutting presented by Ervin Muellner. Sup. Thompson seconded the motion. Motion passed.
A motion was made by Sup. Berscheit to pay all bills numbered 4951 through 4963: Rev. $861.26; R&B $17,492.51. Sup. Johnson seconded the motion. Motion passed.
In the road report the dust control procedures were discussed. Contractor will fill in some areas with dust control between several owners spraying to make for easier grading and to hold the gravel in place better. Duckweed Drive was discussed and the board decided not to cut down hill, but to add more signs instead. Chairman will consult with county engineer to decide how best to design fixing 210th Street now that township has clearance from property owners. The annual township clean-up day went well with three very full dumpsters. The supervisors divided up the township to do weed inspection in June.
Treasurer’s report showed a balance of $50,686.42. Treasurer’s report was approved by Sup. Berscheit and seconded by Sup. Thompson. Motion passed.
A motion was made by Sup. Berscheit to adjourn the meeting which was seconded by Sup. Johnson. Motion passed. Meeting was adjourned at 7:42 p.m. Next regular meeting will be on June 24, 2014 at 7 p.m. in the Burtrum Community Center. Shirley Hulinsky, Burnhamville Township Clerk
