Burnhamville Township • October 25, 2016

The regular meeting of the Town Board of Burnhamville Township was held October 25, 2016 at the Burtrum Community Center. The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Chairman Mike Berscheit. Members present include Supervisors: Mike Berscheit and Bruce Johnson; Clerk Shirley Hulinsky; Treasurer Pam Throener. Sup. Louis Thompson was absent. Others present: Ervin Muellner and Erv Herdering.
The minutes from the regular meeting of September 27, 2016 were approved as presented on a motion by Sup .Johnson. Motion was seconded by Sup. Berscheit.
For correspondence the township board members received township association magazine with notice of upcoming annual meeting.
A motion was made by Sup. Berscheit to pay all bills numbered 5331 through 5338: Rev. $506.48; R & B $6,579.13. Sup. Johnson seconded the motion. Motion passed.
The board was asked to show support for a proposed solar farm by a land owner on Morrison Line Road. Last month the board had several questions about the proposal. Through correspondence the contractor answered the board’s questions. After discussion the board signed form to show support of this proposed solar farm in the township.
With the general election on Tuesday, November 8, the board set the time to set up the voting booths as 4 o’clock on Monday, November 7.
Pillsbury Bridge replacement project will be completed as soon as the tar is finished this week. The contract dead line is November 4. There will be an extra cost for the culvert put in for the catch basin.
In the road report the contractor will work fixing the wash outs on the sides of the roads before the snow comes. Contractor again worked on removing beaver plug from culvert on 168th St. Culvert band on Dunlin road will be fixed soon.
Treasurer’s report showed a balance of $76,163.21. Treasurer’s report was approved by Sup. Berscheit and seconded by Sup. Johnson. Motion passed.
A motion was made by Sup. Berscheit to adjourn the meeting which was seconded by Sup. Johnson. Motion passed. Meeting was adjourned at 7:20 p.m. Next regular meeting will be on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at 7 p.m. in the Burtrum Community Center.
