The regular meeting of the Town Board of Burnhamville was held April 26, 2022 at the Burtrum Community Center. The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Vice-Chair Bruce Johnson. Members present include Supervisors Bruce Johnson and Joe Muellner; Clerk Shirley Hulinsky; and Treasurer Pam Throener. Mike Berscheit was present virtually. Also present were Erv Herdering and Beth Ramacher.
The minutes from the regular meeting of March 29, 2022 were approved on a motion by Sup. Johnson and second by Sup. Muellner. Motion passed.
For correspondence the township received letters from Todd County Public Works bridge inspection list, Todd County Auditor Emergency Election plan, notice from the state that our weed grant was awarded. Sup. Johnson made a motion and Sup. Berscheit seconded it to purchase spray equipment and supplies for noxious weeds. Motion passed.
Sup. Johnson made a motion to purchase backhoe attachment for skid steer. Motion was seconded by Sup. Berscheit. Motion passed.
A motion was made by Sup. Muellner to pay all bills numbered 6235 through 6250 totaling $8,174.40. Sup. Johnson seconded the motion. Motion passed.
For the Emergency Election Plan the board named Brighter Days Church as the alternate polling place and Shirley Hulinsky as head judge with Pam Throener as backup.
The board heard an update from the county township officer annual meeting.
The clerk will forward weed inspection training information and materials by e-mail to supervisors.
The township will have the annual clean-up day on May 21st from 9 to 11 am on Main Street in Burtrum. After discussion the charges for tires will increase by $2 each and the other fees will remain the same.
In the road report the board approved the spring road inspection list. The contactor has bladed all the roads once and will do again. Gravel will be added as weather and road conditions allow.
Treasurer’s report showed a balance of $63,188.48. Sup. Muellner motioned to approve and Sup. Berscheit seconded the motion. Motion passed.
A motion was made by Sup. Johnson to adjourn the meeting which was seconded by Sup. Muellner. Motion passed. Meeting was adjourned at 7:37 p.m. Next regular meeting will be on Tuesday, May 31 at 7 pm in the Burtrum Community Center.
