Burnhamville Township December 18, 2018

The regular meeting of the Town Board of Burnhamville Township was held December 18, 2018 at the Burtrum Community Center. The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Chair Mike Berscheit. Members present include Supervisors: Bruce Johnson, Mike Berscheit and Joe Muellner; Clerk Shirley Hulinsky; Treasurer Pam Throener. Erv Herdering was also present.
The minutes from the regular meeting of November 27, 2018 were approved as presented on a motion by Sup. Johnson. Motion was seconded by Sup. Muellner. Motion passed.
For correspondence the township board members received letters about tax payment received, notice of weed inspection report due and an increase in the Minnesota aid. The board also heard from a resident of Flower Trail requesting road improvements. The board completed and signed the weed inspection report.
A motion was made by Sup. Berscheit to pay all bills numbered 5682 through 5690: Rev. $663.90; R & B $3,574.42. Sup. Muellner seconded the motion. Motion passed.
With nicer weather happening the supervisors will look into brush cutting the ditches. They will take turns going around township roads in their areas to check and trim brush. Road contractor will work on blading roads and possibly trimming trees as weather will allow.
As per state statute, Sup. Berscheit made a motion pass resolution #2018- 1 to declare 2019 township polling place as Burtrum Community Center. Motion was seconded by Sup. Johnson. Motion passed.
Treasurer’s report showed a balance of $88,077.42. Treasurer’s report was approved by Sup. Berscheit and seconded by Sup. Johnson. Motion passed.
A motion was made by Sup. Berscheit to adjourn the meeting which was seconded by Sup. Johnson. Motion passed. Meeting was adjourned at 7:23 p.m. Next regular meeting will be on Tuesday, January 29, 2018 at 7 p.m. in the Burtrum Community Center.
