The regular meeting of the Town Board of Burnhamville was held December 28, 2021 at the Burtrum Community Center. The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Vice-Chair Bruce Johnson. Members present include Supervisor Bruce Johnson; Clerk Shirley Hulinsky; and Treasurer Pam Throener. Supervisors Mike Berscheit and Joe Muellner were attending virtually.
The minutes from the regular meeting of November 30, 2021 were read by Sup. Johnson and approved on a motion by Sup. Muellner and second by Sup. Berscheit with Sup. Johnson also voting in favor. Motion passed.
For correspondence the township received notices of March election information, and a liquor license application.
A motion was made by Sup. Johnson to pay all bills numbered 6180 through 6188, pending receipt of the road maintenance bill: Rev. $992.38; R& B $6,530.15. Sup. Muellner seconded the motion with Sup. Berscheit also voted in favor. Motion passed.
Sup. Berscheit made a motion to approve the liquor license application for Feb. 26, 2022 Swanville Lions/Sobieski Lions Fishing Derby on Long Lake. Motion as seconded by Sup. Berscheit. Sup. Johnson also approved. Motion passed.
Sup. Berscheit informed the board the dealer for the skid steer trailer said the trailer should be in the middle of January.
With the increase in registered voters to over 500 in Burnhamville Township this township is now required to use the OnmiBallot voting machine. Additional notice of Public Accuracy Testing will come later.
The township clerk applied for the weed control grant from the state. We will hear back later to see if we will be awarded the grant for weed control equipment.
One online meeting was held and another will be soon to advise townships on how to use ARPA funding. The clerk and at least one supervisor will try to listen in.
Filing for township offices for the March election is open now through January 11, 2022. Offices of one supervisor and the clerk are up for election.
Due to a death in the family, the road contractor was unable to be here.
Treasurer’s report showed a balance of $82,800.24. Sup. Johnson motioned to approve, Sup. Berscheit seconded the motion and Sup. Muellner also voting in favor. Motion passed.
A motion was made by Sup. Muellner to adjourn the meeting which was seconded by Sup. Berscheit. Motion passed. Meeting was adjourned at 7:14 p.m. Next regular meeting will be on Tuesday, January 25 at 7 pm in the Burtrum Community Center.
