Burnhamville Township February 26, 2019

The regular meeting of the Town Board of Burnhamville Township was held February 26, 2019 at the Burtrum Community Center. The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Chair Mike Berscheit. Members present include Supervisors: Bruce Johnson, Mike Berscheit and Joe Muellner; Clerk Shirley Hulinsky; Treasurer Pam Throener. Erv Herdering was also present.
The minutes from the regular meeting of January 29, 2019 were approved as presented on a motion by Sup. Johnson. Motion was seconded by Sup. Berscheit. Motion passed.
For correspondence the township board members received letter about spring short course training.
A motion was made by Sup. Berscheit to pay all bills numbered 5703 through 5715: Rev. $1,853.33; R & B $11,287.95; Fire $11.22. Sup. Johnson seconded the motion. Motion passed.
Sup. Berscheit gave an update on the Long Prairie Fire Department township meeting. The levy will be up slightly and no major purchases are planned.
The road contractor has had problems with the hard snow and large drifts from the blizzard winds. The board will work on clearing trees in ditch along 331st Ave to help for next winter.
With the annual meeting, the board will set up booths for township election on March 12 at 4 pm. Polls will be open from 5-8 pm and meeting will be at 8:20 pm. The supervisors approved the postcards the clerk will send out.
Treasurer’s report showed a balance of $88,804.58. Treasurer’s report was approved by Sup. Berscheit and seconded by Sup. Muellner. Motion passed.
The board viewed and marked boundary line changed by Swanville as requested for the Census map.
The supervisors then proceeded to audit the books of the clerk and treasurer.
A motion was made by Sup. Berscheit to adjourn the meeting which was seconded by Sup. Muellner. Motion passed. Meeting was adjourned at 7:50 p.m. Next regular meeting will be on Tuesday, March 26, 2018 at 7 p.m. in the Burtrum Community Center
