Burnhamville Township – July 28, 2015

The regular meeting of the Town Board of Burnhamville Township was held July 28, 2015 at the Burtrum Community Center. The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Chair Mike Berscheit. Members present include Supervisors: Mike Berscheit, Bruce Johnson and Louis Thompson; Clerk Shirley Hulinsky, Treasurer Pam Throener. Others present: Erv Herdering and Ervin Muellner.
The minutes from the regular meeting of June 30, 2015 were approved as presented on a motion by Sup. Thompson. Motion was seconded by Sup. Johnson. Motion passed.
For correspondence the board received a letter from Todd County Public Works on the delays in the permits of Pillsbury Bridge, a notice of District 8 meeting on August 19, and a letter concerning bank securities.
Supervisors will blade the Buck Lake access.
A motion was made by Sup. Berscheit to pay all bills numbered 5143 through 5153: Rev. $590.54; R&B $10,747.19. Sup. Johnson seconded the motion. Motion passed. The board questioned the DNR permit bill. Clerk will check with public works on this new charge.
In the road report the contractor has completed dust control spraying. Culvert on 321st Ave minimum maintenance area was repaired. He will continue with repair list and maintenance grading and graveling. There was also a complaint of a water puddle on 162nd St. Board will contact state highway department to cut ditch weeds by intersection of 150th St. and State 28.
The board got one of three easement from property owners along the Pillsbury Bridge.
Treasurer’s report showed a balance of $120,943.41. Treasurer’s report was approved by Sup. Berscheit and seconded by Sup. Thompson. Motion passed.
A motion was made by Sup. Berscheit to adjourn the meeting which was seconded by Sup. Thompson. Motion passed. Meeting was adjourned at 7:25 p.m. Next regular meeting will be on August 25, 2015 at 7 p.m. in the Burtrum Community Center.
