The regular meeting of the Town Board of Burnhamville was held November 24, 2020 at the Burtrum Community Center. The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Chair Mike Berscheit. Members present include Supervisors: Bruce Johnson, Mike Berscheit, Joe Muellner; Clerk Shirley Hulinsky and Treasurer Pam Throener. Erv Herdering was also present.
The minutes from the regular meeting of October 27, 2020 were approved as presented on a motion by Sup. Johnson and was seconded by Sup. Berscheit. Motion passed.
For correspondence the township received letters stating county weed report is due, Grey Eagle Fire department meeting is Nov 30, opening on the Todd County planning and zoning board for our district, and notices of October and November taxes received.
A motion was made by Sup. Muellner to pay all bills numbered 6005 through 6026: Rev. $3,903.05; R & B $8,584.86. Sup. Berscheit seconded the motion. Motion passed.
Bass Lake access improvements were started and more will be done in spring.
The township ditches had debris in them. Sup. Berscheit picked up several appliances and tires and hauled them to the county waste site. Residents should properly dispose of unwanted items at local recycling or garbage places.
For the general election on November 3 the township had a good turnout of 388 voters.
The CARES Grants reports are completed and extra funds are returned to the county for them to use as needed.
Sup. Berscheit made a motion to approve Resolution 2020-3 for the annual polling place designation as the Burtrum Community Center. Sup. Johnson seconded the motion. Motion passed.
In the road report the chair completed the annual weed report. No signs were found to improve the safety of traffic on 341st Ave. New culverts and beaver issues are working okay. Roads are being monitored for conditions.
Treasurer’s report showed a balance of $63,773.87. Sup. Johnson motioned to approve and Sup. Berscheit seconded motion. Motion passed.
A motion was made by Sup. Berscheit to adjourn the meeting which was seconded by Sup. Johnson. Motion passed. Meeting was adjourned at 7:33 p.m. Next regular meeting will be on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at 7 pm in the Burtrum Community Center.
