The regular meeting of the Town Board of Burnhamville was held November 25, 2025 at the home of the clerk due to a snow storm power outage in Burtrum. The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Chair Mike Berscheit. Members present include Supervisors Bruce Johnson, Mike Berscheit and Joe Muellner; Clerk Shirley Hulinsky; and Treasurer Pam Throener. No others were present.
The minutes from the regular meeting of October 28, 2025 were approved on a motion by Sup. Berscheit and second by Sup. Johnson. Motion passed.
For correspondence the township received notices that Sourcewell Match Grant was approved, MAT annual meeting in December, Grey Eagle fire meeting, liquor license request, Todd County Hazard Mitigation online meeting.
A motion was moved by Sup. Muellner to pay all bills numbered 6920 through 6935 totaling $26,284.99. Sup. Berscheit seconded the motion. Motion passed.
The board heard an update from the Grey Eagle Fire Department meeting that everything is about the same.
The clerk did Todd County Hazard Mitigation online meeting. The county is forming a plan that includes a website. When the county finalizes the plan the township should view and eventually approve plan.
Burnhamville Township was notified that our Match Grant request from Sourcewell was accepted. Sup. Berscheit moved a motion to approve resolution #2025-03 accepting the Match Grant donation from Sourcewell. Sup. Muellner seconded the motion. Motion passed.
The clerk has set up a Paid Family Leave account. After discussion Sup. Berscheit moved a motion to accept resolution #2025-04 stating that Burnhamville Township will pay half the premium and the employee will pay half the premium. Sup. Muellner seconded the motion. The clerk is appointed the township’s administrator for this program.
While moving brush piles from clearing up downed trees Sup. Berscheit damaged the skid steer. He took it in for repairs. Clerk will file insurance claim.
Sup. Johnson contacted an engineer to discuss the Local Road Improvement Grant plan to improve 321st Ave. from County Road 104 to County 13 or State 28. The engineer thought the grant would not work with the township’s plan.
The Swanville Lions and Sobieski Lions are planning the annual Fishing Derby on Long Lake for February 21, 2026. They are requesting a one-day liquor license. Sup. Berscheit moved a motion to approve the liquor license request and Sup. Muellner seconded the motion. Sup. Johnson abstained because of involvement. Motion passed.
The Treasurer’s report shows balance of $89,279.57. Sup. Berscheit moved a motion to approve treasurer report. Motion was seconded by Sup. Johnson. Motion passed.
Meeting was adjourned at 7:35 p.m. on a motion by Sup. Berscheit and a second by Sup. Johnson. Next regular meeting will be on Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at 7 pm in the Burtrum Community Center.
