The meeting of the Burtrum City Council was called to order at 7 p.m. on Monday, July 7, 2014 by Mayor Allen. Clara Taft and Ron Strassburg were absent.
Minutes of the June 2, 2014 meeting were read and approved on a motion by Kevin Wunderlich and seconded by Anna Payne. All members voted in favor, motion carried.
Finance report was read and approved on a motion by Anna Payne and seconded by Kevin Wunderlich. Upon vote motion carried. Checks number 7255 thru 7265 were approved for payment on a motion by Anna Payne and seconded by Kevin Wunderlich. All voted in favor, motion carried.
Members from the Heritage Days were at the meeting to request a beer license for August 23 & 24. License issued on a motion by Kevin Wunderlich and seconded by Anna Payne. All voted in favor.
Dick Kuehne requested a building permit to put a lean-to on his garage. Permit approved on a motion by Kevin Wunderlich and seconded by Anna Payne. Upon vote, motion carried.
A motion was made by Kevin Wunderlich to have a summer fill and pre-buy 800 gallons of propane from Rahn’s Propane. Motion carried.
A request from the Initiative Foundation for a donation was read. We will send them $100 on a motion by Anna Payne and seconded by Kevin Wunderlich. All in favor, motion carried.
A letter of resignation from Clara Taft was read and accepted on a motion by Kevin Wunderlich and seconded by Anna Payne. Motion carried. Clerk will post a notice to fill the position.
Being no further business a motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Kevin Wunderlich and seconded by Anna Payne. Motion Carried. Dorothy Strassburg, City Clerkt
