Burtrum City • November 7, 2016

These are unapproved minutes.
The meeting of the Burtrum City Council was called to order at 7 p.m. on Monday, November 7, 2016 by Mayor Ron Strassburg. Those in attendance included, Ron Strassburg, Kaitlynn Bollig, Deb VanHavermaet, Anna Payne, and Kevin Wunderlich.
The minutes from the October 3, 2016 meeting were read and approved by a motion made by Anna Payne and seconded by Kevin Wunderlich.
The finance report was read and approved by a motion made by Deb VanHavermaet and seconded by Anna Payne, upon vote motion carried.
The city discussed the bills and upon a motion made by Kevin Wunderlich and seconded by Anna Payne the bills were paid.
Next, the City Council discussed old business including increased numbers of vehicles in resident’s yards. As a friendly reminder, the City Council would like to remind residents that all vehicles should be licensed, current on tabs, and registered.
The City Council then discussed new business including the upcoming fire contract meeting, the potential of bring natural gas to the city, and the transition of switching financial institutions.
The City then discussed changing the required number of signatures needed to make changes at the banks. The decision was made that only one signature from the City Clerk or Mayor was necessary for all areas other than signing checks. Signing checks will still require both the signature of the Mayor and the City Clerk.
The changes were approved by a motion made by Deb VanHavermaet and seconded by Anna Payne, upon vote motion carried. As a note, approval for all other transactions will still need to be approved by the City Council prior to making changes.
As there was no further topics to discuss the meeting was adjourned by a motion made by Deb VanHavermaet and seconded by Anna Payne, upon vote motion carried and the meeting was adjourned.
