Burtrum City • April 5, 2021

The Burtrum City Council meeting was called to order at 7 pm on Monday, April 5, 2021 by Mayor Ron Strassburg.
In attendance was Mayor Ron Strassburg, Kevin Rohde, Sharon Erickson, Sara Macho, Mitchell Bruggenthies and Laura Horvath.
Minutes from the March 1, 2021 meeting were read and approved by a motion made by Kevin Rohde and seconded by Sharon Erickson, upon vote motion was carried and minutes were accepted.
Next the finance report was read and approved, current/bills and invoices paid with a motion made by Sara Macho and seconded by Kevin Rohde.
City discussed old/new business-
New business: Heritage Club application approved for their annual meat raffle.
Radar/Speed sign has been purchased and will be placed south of town.
License for Cabooze to hold benefit at the City Hall was discussed and approved under the condition they meet the insurance requirement – Mick (Cabooze) agreed to insurance conditions. Motion made by Sara Macho to approve and seconded by Kevin Rohde, approved by all.
Please be respectful of your neighbors; keep pets leashed or fenced, control loud and annoying disturbances. If you plan on building or adding an addition be aware of city ordinances. Also, if building a permanent structure, you will need to check with the city for a permit.
Old Business: Still waiting for an update from Greater Gas Company. Easter Egg Hunt was a huge success, with a large turnout and enjoyed by all who attended.
Since no further topics needed to be addressed the meeting was adjourned with a motion made by Sara Erickson and seconded by Kevin Rohde, upon vote motion carried and meeting was adjourned.
Special Meeting was held on April 12, 2021: discussion was regarding insurance obligation required by the Cabooze for their upcoming event. We are still waiting for updated insurance. Motion made by Kevin Rohde and seconded by Sara Macho to close meeting.
