Call to Order/Roll Call: The Mayor called the meeting order at 7:00PM.
Attendance: Mayor Romie Gessell Jr., Sara Macho, Bobby Veldkamp Jr., Juli Scherping, and City Clerk Brooke Thieschafer. Absent: Irene Ehlert
The Pledge of Allegiance recited.
Agenda: The City Clerk added Decals for the city. Macho made a motion to approve the agenda. Scherping supported. All in favor, motion carried.
Minutes: Scherping made a motion to approve the minutes. Macho supported. All in favor, motion carried.
Bills: Macho made a motion to approve the bills. Scherping supported. All in favor, motion carried.
Todd County Sheriff’s Report: City Clerk went over the calls for the month.
Building Permits – None
Old Business: a. Easter Event – Postponed until 4/12/2026.
b. Furnace – Bids from Bitz Plumbing and Heating were presented. Council would have more bids.
c. Recycling Open on the weekends – A discussion was had on if it should be open on weekends. Leave as if for now.
d. New Sourcewell Grant One-Time Funding – Macho made a motion to apply for fencing, basketball hoops, and digit signs. Scherping approved. All in favor, motion carried. Resolutions 2026-4-7:1
New Business: a. Minnesota State Flag. Resolution 2026-4-7:2 – To Fly the Minnesota State Original. A roll call was done. Veldkamp, yes. Macho, yes. Scherping, yes. All in favor. Motion carried.
b. Street Sweeping – Veldkamp is going to reach out to the Little Falls MNDot shop.
c. Lions Decal for the city – An estimate was given for a variety of sizes. Macho made a motion to approve the purchasing of the Lions decals. Veldkamp supported. All in favor, motion carried.
Open Floor: A resident has been having issues with their septic. Residents called Todd County, and they said they need a Letter of Intent regarding the septic.
A question about the city street about getting the roads sprayed with chloride.
Announcements: Easter Event April 12th, 2026 at 12PM Sharp – Lions Park.
Finance Committee – April 13th, 2026 at 5:30PM.

The next City Council meeting is scheduled for May 5th, 2026 at the Burtrum Community Center.
