The meeting of the Burtrum City Council was called to order at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, December 3rd, 2018 by Mayor Ron Strassburg. Those in attendance included: Ronald Strassburg, Carrie Wiechmann, Kevin Rohde, Deb VanHavermaet, Mitchell Bruggenthies, Sharon Erickson, and Dustin Wiechmann.
The meeting minutes from November 5th, 2018 were read and approved by a motion made by Mitchell Bruggenthies seconded by Sharon Erickson, upon vote motion was carried and the minutes were accepted.
Next the finance report was read and approved by a motion made by Deb VanHavermaet and seconded by Mitchell Bruggenthies. The City Council then discussed outstanding/routine bills and upon a motion made by Mitchell Bruggenthies and seconded by Sharon Erickson, the bills were paid.
Regarding old business, it was looked into for snow to be moved to another spot and the state does not want to go into someone’s field for disposal and if they need to haul it out there will be a charge so as for now the dump site for snow will stay the same.
Next, in new business, Laurie Brown was present regarding the matter that there are some places in town that have a lot of junk in the yard that should be notified to have cleaned up.
The city levy needs to be finalized to be sent in by the end of the month. All reviewed and motion was made 1st by Kevin Rohde and 2nd by Deb VanHavermaet.
As there was no further topics to discuss the meeting was adjourned with a motion first made by Mitchell Bruggenthies and seconded by Kevin Rohde, upon votes motion carried and the meeting was adjourned.
The next City Council Meeting is scheduled for Monday, January 7th, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. at the Burtrum Town Hall.
