Burtrum City June 3, 2019

The meeting of the Burtrum City Council was called to order at 7:00 pm on Monday, June 3rd, 2019 by Mayor Ron Strassburg. Those in attendance included; Ronald Strassburg, Carrie Wiechmann, Deb VanHavermaet, Mitchell Bruggenthies, Sharon Erickson, and Kevin Rohde.
The meeting minutes from May 6th, 2019 were read and approved by a motion made by Mitchell Bruggenthies, seconded by Deb VanHavermaet, upon vote motion was carried and the minutes were accepted.
Next the finance report was read and approved by a motion made by Kevin Rohde and seconded by Mitchell Bruggenthies. The City Council then discussed outstanding/routine bills and upon a motion made by Kevin Rhode and seconded by Deb VanHavermaet, the bills were paid.
Regarding old business, no old business to discuss.
Next, in new business, Jon Archer, CPA from Schlenner Wenner & Co. was present to go over the completed compliance review of the city records. Motion was made for approval first by Deb VanHavermaet and seconded by Sharon Erickson.
Louie Thompson was present that he would like a building permit to build an 8×10 well shack, motion made by Mitchell Bruggenthies and seconded by Kevin Rohde for approval.
The Burtrum Lions Park was vandalized over the weekend of June 1st, the shed door was broken into, and the port a pot was tipped over out of the platform area.
It has been decided to split the City of Burtrum Clerk and Treasurer position, so there is an opening for the Clerk position. All applicants that would like to apply should submit their interest, qualifications, and past history as soon as possible to PO Box 11, Burtrum, MN and attend attend the upcoming meeting on July 1st.
As there was no further topics to discuss the meeting was adjourned with a motion first made by Sharon Erickson and seconded by Mitchell Bruggenthies, upon votes motion carried and the meeting was adjourned. The next City Council Meeting is scheduled for Monday, July 1st, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. at the Burtrum Town Hall.
