Burtrum City March 2, 2020

The meeting of the Burtrum City Council was called to order at 7:00 pm on Monday, March 2, 2020 by Council member Deb VanHavermaet. Those in attendance included: Deb VanHavermaet, Carrie Wiechmann, Mitchell Bruggenthies, Sharon Erickson, Kevin Rohde, and Dustin Wiechmann.
The meeting minutes from February 3rd, 2020 were read and approved by a motion made by Sharon Erickson, seconded by Kevin Rohde, upon vote motion was carried and the minutes were accepted.
Next the finance report was read and approved by a motion made by Kevin Rohde and seconded by Mitchell Bruggenthies. The City Council then discussed outstanding/routine bills and upon a motion made by Sharon Erickson and seconded by Kevin Rohde, the bills were paid.
Regarding old business, when walking your dog in the community, remember that it should be leashed. Also, it is important to remember to immediately clean up after your pet. Take along a baggie with you to pick up waste with, and then dispose of it properly.
Next, in new business, the City of Burtrum has an opening for the City Clerk/Treasurer position. If interested please send in a resume to PO Box 11, Burtrum, MN 56318 or email cityofburtrum@gmail.com.
*Recycling pick up in the City of Burtrum is done every other Saturday from 9-11, same location as were the recycling bin use to be. Dates for this month will be March 7th and 21st, 2020.
As there was no further topics to discuss the meeting was adjourned with a motion first made by Kevin Rohde on and seconded by Mitchell Bruggenthies, upon votes motion carried and the meeting was adjourned.
The next City Council Meeting is scheduled for Monday, April 6th, 2020 at 7:00 pm at the Burtrum Town Hall.
