Burtrum City May 4, 2020

The meeting of the Burtrum City Council was called to order on Monday, May 4th, 2020 at 7 pm by Mayor Ron Strassburg. The following members were present Sharon Erickson, Mitchell Bruggenthies, Kevin Rohde, and Sara Macho.
Minutes of the Burtrum City council April meeting were read and approved by a motion made by Kevin Rohde and seconded by Mitchell Bruggenthies upon vote motion carried.
Treasure report was given. A motion was made by Kevin Rohde and seconded by Sharon Erickson to approve the report, motion carried. A motion was made by Mitchell Bruggenthies and Sara Macho to pay outstanding bills, motion carried.
Community member Irene Bjelland attended the meeting to request a building permit. After a discussion, a motion was made by Sharon Erickson and seconded by Kevin Rohde to grant a permit, upon vote motion carried.
Sue Rotty attended the meeting for the Heritage Club, asking for a permit for the club’s annual raffle. Upon discussion a permit was granted by a motion made by Sharon Erickson and seconded by Kevin Rohde.
The council discussed the City’s Ordinances after input from the council members it will be tabled until further questions are answered.
The bathroom and water will not be available at the Lions Park due to the Covid 19 recommendations.
The city will join the Burnhamville Township for clean-up day on Sat., May 16th at the Burtrum Lions Park from 9 am to 11 am. There is a small fee for some items such as appliances, and tires. Bulk garbage items such as mattresses, furniture, or carpet will be accepted for no charge. Hazardous waste will not be accepted.
The next regular monthly meeting will be held June 1st, 2020 at 7 pm.
There being no further business a motion was made by Kevin Rohde and seconded by Mitchell Bruggenthies to adjourn. All members voted in favor motion carried.
