This year, with little snowpack and an early start to spring, restrictions are likely to take effect earlier, maybe as soon as next week. Seasonal Road Restrictions will take effect on Stearns County Highways at 12:01 a.m. on Thursday, March 12, 2015. Posted axle weight limits control vehicle weights on posted roads. On the night of Monday, March 2nd the Sheriff’s Office received numerous calls about a red angus calf running on Hwy 71 near Hwy 28 in Sauk Centre Township.
