Nancy Pfeffer Donation from Thrivent Financial for Lutherans

On April 16th, 400 people attended a benefit for Nancy Pfeffer at the Swanville Lion’s Park building who is in treatment for colon cancer. The benefit included a spaghetti and meat ball dinner, live music, a silent auction, and a raffle. The event raised $34,900 which included $1000 in supplemental funds from Thrivent Financial for Lutherans. The Boy Scouts of Melrose Troop 68 visited the Melrose Area Historical Museum on Monday, May 7th. The Minnesota State Fair and the Minnesota Farm Bureau recognize 144 Minnesota farms as 2012 Century Farms. Qualifying farms have been in continuous family ownership for at least 100 years and are 50 acres or more.
