The Mass of Christian Burial, celebrating the life of Cecelia Lenarz, age 96 of Albany, will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, December 16, at the Seven Dolors Catholic Church in Albany. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Cecelia died Sunday at Chateau Waters in Sartell. There will be a visitation from 4-7:00 PM Friday and after 10:00 AM, Saturday at the Seven Dolors gathering space. Seven Dolors parish prayers will be at 4:00 PM, Friday at the church. Seven Dolors Christian Women will pray the rosary inside the church at 10:30 AM, Saturday. Arrangements are being made by the Miller-Carlin Funeral Home.
Cecelia was born December 29, 1920 in Sauk Center to Frank and Mary (Sohm) Bushey. She married Joseph Herzog in 1940. The couple raised six children before Joe died in 1963. Cecelia married Carl Lenarz on September 16, 1965. He died November 30, 1992. She worked at the Mother of Mercy Campus of Care for over 20 years. During her time there, she studied and became a physical therapist. Cecelia was a member of the Seven Dolors Catholic Church in Albany and the Seven Dolors Christian Women.
Cecelia is survived by her children; Tom (Dianne) Herzog, St. Joseph; Renee (Neil) Boreen, North St. Paul; Vonnie (Tony) Habermann, White Bear Lake, Judy (Jeff) Williams, White Bear Lake; Clare (Norb) Poepping, Cold Spring. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her special friend, Harold Imholte, Clear Lake.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Joseph, her husband, Carl; her son, Loren Herzog; her daughter, Joan Bushey; her brothers and sisters; Bernadette Upton, Paul Bushey, Kay Bushey, Ruth Bushey, Louis Bushey, Jim Bushey, Ben Bushey and Dolores Johnson.
