Commander Steve Soyka advises that the Central Minnesota Violent Offender Task Force conducted a search warrant on October 17, 2017 at the address of 721 28th Avenue North, in the City of St. Cloud. The search warrant was the result of an investigation into the sales of controlled substances occurring at the house.
At the time of the search 2 parties were home. They were identified as the homeowner, Michael Chirhart, 47 yoa, of St. Cloud and Sarah Nesenson, 38 yoa, of St. Cloud. During the search, drug paraphernalia and an amount of methamphetamine were recovered. It was also determined that Nesenson had 3 outstanding warrants and had an active Domestic Abuse No Contact Order against her barring her from having any contact with Chirhart. Nesenson was arrested on the warrants and the order violation and transported to the Stearns County jail to await court. Chirhart was also arrested and transported to the Stearns County Jail and is charged with 5th degree possession of a controlled substance.
The task force was assisted by the St. Cloud Police Department patrol division. The Central Minnesota Violent Offender Task Force is comprised of officers from the cities of Little Falls, Sauk Rapids, and St. Cloud Police Departments and deputies from Stearns, Benton, Sherburne, Todd and Morrison County Sheriff Offices.
