On August 8, 2018 officers from the Central Minnesota Violent Offender Task Force, went to 6901 170 Ave, Bellevue Township, in Morrison County as part of an investigation into the distribution of controlled substances.
While officers were at the above location a vehicle occupied by individuals associated with the address slowed down near the driveway and then continued on. Officers followed the vehicle and observed it pull onto a field approach where officers observed a female passenger, who was identified as Heidi Austin, throw a bag out of the window of the vehicle into a field.
Officers stopped the vehicle and confirmed the identity of the driver and occupants. Officers recovered the bag which had been thrown into the field and found it contained approximately 1.1 lbs of methamphetamine. A subsequent search warrant was executed on the vehicle and an additional ¼ lbs of methamphetamine was located. A search warrant was also executed at the above address, and stolen property was recovered from a shed.
Heidi Austin age 27, Royalton was arrested and transported to the Morrison County Jail for 1st Degree Possession of Controlled Substance.
The Central Minnesota Violent Offender Task Force was assisted by the Morrison County Sheriff’s Office. The Central Minnesota Violent Offender Task Force is comprised of officers from Little Falls, Sauk Rapids, and St. Cloud Police Departments and deputies from Stearns, Benton, Sherburne, Todd and Morrison County Sheriff Offices.
