Commander Jay Salzer advised that on November 21st 2019, the Central Minnesota Violent Offender Task force executed a search warrant in the 800 block of 25th Ave. North, in the City Of St. Cloud.
Central Minnesota Violent Offender Task Force Investigators started an investigation after they learned controlled substances were possibly being distributed from the residence.
When Investigators entered the residence, they located the resident, Horace Lamond Wimberly, 27 years old and Darnell Darron Gray, 35 years old from Minneapolis. As investigators searched the residence, they located one shot gun, one stolen handgun, and one handgun with an obliterated serial number. Investigators also located a little more than 23 pounds of marijuana and almost $5,000.00 which is believed to be proceeds from drug sales.
Wimberly was transported to Stearns County jail where he is booked for 3rd degree possession of controlled substance, ineligible person in possession of firearm, and possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number.
Gray was also transported to Stearns County where he was booked for 5th degree possession of controlled substance and ineligible person in possession of firearm.
The Central Minnesota Violent Offender Task Force was assisted by the St. Cloud Police Department. The Central Minnesota Violent Offender Task Force is comprised of Investigators from St. Cloud, and Sartell Police Departments and deputies from Stearns, Benton, Sherburne, Todd and Morrison Counties.
