Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 11, 2016 at St. Martin Catholic Church in St. Martin, MN for Char Lynn Peltz, age 45, who died Saturday surrounded by her loving family and friends at the St. Cloud Hospital after a car accident. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
A gathering of relatives and friends will be from 4:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m., Friday, November 10, 2017 at the Wenner Funeral Home in Richmond. Visitation will continue from 9:00-10:00 a.m. Saturday morning at the funeral home.
Char was born in St. Cloud, MN to Frank and Nancy (Shoultz) Kostreba. She grew up in Paynesville, MN, graduating from Paynesville High School. Char was a very spiritual person and attended Crystal Hills Church. She married Mike Peltz on September 27, 1997 in St. Agnes Catholic Church. They farmed north of Roscoe, raising four wonderful children, Travis, Samantha, Shannin and Davis. Char helped run the family’s dairy farm and welding shop. She worked as a caregiver and housekeeper at numerous health care facilities. Her greatest joys were singing, music, praising the Lord, saving helpless animals, and especially caring for her husband and children. She had a passion for art, decorating, painting and organizing. Her friends and family were very important to her. She will forever be remembered for her positive attitude, strong faith and her compassion.
Survivors include her husband, Mike; mother, Nancy; children, Travis (Shaun Ohl) Schmidt, Samantha, Shannin and Davis Peltz; siblings, Sheila (Michael) Kascht, Shay Kostreba, Cody Kostreba; aunt, Caroline Kostreba; siblings-in-law, Dianne (Ronald) Schmitz, Donna (Marty) Stone, Barb Peltz and Marilyn (Harvey) Lieser; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her father, Frank; parents-in-law, Leander and Rose Peltz; niece, Kayla Kascht; brother-in-law, Fred Peltz.
