Community Builders – April 16, 2015

Mission Statement: Area Businesses coming together to support growth and community involvement while maintaining a safe secure environment.
Meeting called to order by Jill Kurowski at 5:35 p.m.
Present: Marilynn Blommel (Marilynn’s Vacations), Jill Kurowski (Style n Go), Shelly Primus (CMCU), Bob Pallansch, Megan Blenker, Joe Arnzen.
Treasurer’s Report was presented through March 2015, ending balance is $5,518.61.
Old Business: Easter Egg Hunt Date: March 21, 2015, St. Josephs Social Hall: 65 kids attended.
May 8 – 9, City Wide Garage Sale: It has been advertised.
GEM Fest: July 17, 18, 19, 2015: 2014 results: Farmers Market: 28 vendors; Garage Sales; Kid’s Fest Tractor Pull, 34 kids attended.
Garage Sales: Friday and Saturday.
Farmer’s Market: $10 Vendor fee 8AM- 4PM: Saturday, July 18.
Kid’s Fest Suggestion: Hire out tractor Pull this year. Arvig has a Bouncy House.
5K: Is this happening?
National Night Out/Rescue Squad, August 4, 2015. Check if Meire Grove Band will play. Invite community choir for another date.
Concert in the Park: To be determined.
Memorial Day: No activities from the Community Builders.
Car Show/Tractor Pull, Sept 6, 2015: Car Show and Sept 7, 2015 Tractor Pull.
Community Appreciation Picnic Lions Event: A Business Expo will not be held this year.
Recording Secretary: Marilynn Blommel resigned. Megan Blenker will record the minutes.
