Crash with Injuries

October 21, 2024 by Hometown News

On October 18, 2024, at approximately 2:40 p.m., the Stearns County Emergency Communications Center received a report of a crash with injuries just south of the intersection of 433rd Avenue and 310th Street, in Lake George Township. This location is approximately 1 mile west of Elrosa. The initial report was that there was a milk truck rolled over and the driver was stuck inside with a laceration to their head and arm.

Upon arrival, Stearns County Deputies learned Benjamin Imdieke, 40, of Melrose, had been driving a Western Star Conventional northbound on 433rd Avenue. While driving northbound the Western Star entered the west ditch which caused the truck to roll onto the driver’s side trapping Imdieke. Imdieke suffered serious injuries that were believed to be non-life-threatening and was transported by Life Link III to the St. Cloud Hospital. Alcohol and drugs are not determined to be a contributing factor in the crash.

The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Minnesota State Patrol, Belgrade Brooten Police Department, Sauk Centre Ambulance Service, Life Link III, Elrosa Fire Department, and Brooten Fire Department.
